Femi Adesina, special adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, has assured Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari will appoint credible Nigerians from all parts of the country in line with the federal character with the remaining appointments.

Adesina made the revelation while featuring on Political Platform, a RayPower 100.5FM, programme in Abuja. The assurance came following widespread criticism over the lopsided nature of the latest appointments by the President in favour of the North. Adesina said the President was aware of federal character and said there would be balance by the time he made more appointments in September.

Although he said making appointments was the President’s prerogative, the Adesina said the appointments made so far were all on merit.
