The 2015 Hajj delegation from Ogun State has commended the improvement in facilities at the Hajj terminal of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos. The 2015 Hajj operations commenced at the airport on Sunday, August 23.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Adesanya Saula noted that there had been notable improvement in facilities at the terminal in terms of space, cleanliness, ambience, conduciveness and organization in comparison with what obtained in the previous years.
According to Fasina Lukman, another pilgrim, the terminal now wears a new look with the blocks properly painted and glittering, while the level of hygiene has also improved significantly with more attention paid to the cleanliness of the operational area.
The delegation from Ogun State, which was made up of 541 pilgrims, was the first to be airlifted in Lagos this year, and were conveyed in two batches between Sunday August 23 and Monday, August 24.
About 7,034 pilgrims from Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Lagos and Edo States, including those from the Armed Forces are expected to be facilitated and airlifted through the MMA Hajj terminal, Lagos this year.
