The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, is set to test an Emergency Response Plan with a Bomb Simulated Exercise at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, MMA. Yakubu Dati, general manager, Corporate Affairs, said the exercise will hold on Saturday, 28th February 2015 in fulfillment of International Civil Aviation Organization, ICAO, requirements for certification.

He explained that the drill is intended to test the Airport’s response procedures in the event of real bomb explosion at the Terminal Building and that the exercise will not affect or disrupt any flight operations.
