FAAN Fetes Orphans

To the children of Little Saints Orphanage, Akowonjo, Lagos, everyday should be like Christmas. They were radiating joy and beaming with smile as top management of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, celebrated Christmas with them yesterday. The team led by George Uriesi, managing director visited the home located in the airport vicinity and donated git items such as foodstuff, toiletries, air conditioner and refrigerator.

While presenting the gifts to Bose Ogunbanjo, administrator of the home, Uriesi explained that the agency had committed itself to be a partner and would continue to contribute to the welfare of the children. “FAAN will be able to double its effort in coming years. It has in its philanthropic nature partnered with the home in the past to accommodate the needs of the hospice, the authority has also contributed to the cause of humanity to several other non-governmental organisation, especially the less privileged members of the society,” he stated.

He further stated that the authority was also committed to maintaining its corporate social responsibility, especially towards its host local communities nationwide. This strategy, according to the FAAN boss has created a win-win situation with local communities ensuring the security of airports perimeters.
