To make the flying experience Nigerians more pleasurable, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, insists they utilise the new Aviation Passenger Service, APS, portal as a first step in planning their journeys. This call was made by Yakubu Dati, general manager, corporate communications, FAAN, explaining that the portal informs passengers about weather forecast, especially in the harmattan season when they might likely experience flight delays and cancellations.
The APS portal, which was launched by Osita Chidoka, the minister of aviation last December is designed as a one-stop platform where the flying public can access useful information about airlines operations and services in all the airports in Nigeria. “The platform, which can be accessed on www.aviationportal.com.ng, is a reliable source for verified information purposely designed to empower passengers travelling by air from within and outside Nigeria,” he said.
He noted that the website does not only give accurate data with which passengers can make informed decisions and plan their trip, it also serves as a channel to create positive passenger experience even after their journey from different destinations.
