Don’t Flout Airport Rules – FAAN

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, has advised air travellers across the country to adhere strictly to rules and regulations of the airport. Yakubu Dati, general manager, Corporate Communications, FAAN, said this would not only ensure seamless trips for the passengers but also smooth operation for airport workers during the forthcoming Easter celebration.

According to Dati, taking advantage of passengers’ service portal to plan trips would also help air passengers in great measures for a hitch-free movement. He stated that intending air passengers could get useful information such as airline delays, on time departures and flight cancellations from the authority’s portal on the service portal before embarking on their trips.

He further advised travellers on international trip to approach the screening points as soon as they check in to avoid delays and advised them to secure their luggage. He stated that passengers should be cautious not to leave their belongings in the hands of anyone at the airport, adding that security agents will destroy any luggage left unattended.

Dati assured that in line with the directive from Osita Chidoka, minister of aviation, FAAN has concluded plans to ensure that no single tout operates at any of the airports in the country.
