The National Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport has commended the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, for its commitment to the development of the aviation sector of the nation’s economy. Kayode Oyesiku, who is the deputy national president of the institute, made this commendation when he led the executive members of the institute on a courtesy call on the Managing Director/CEO of FAAN at its headquarters in Ikeja on July 24, 2015.
Yakubu Dati, general manager, Corporate Affairs, FAN, said the institute expressed its readiness to collaborate with the Authority to improve the country’s transport logistics, especially as it concerns aviation sub-sector of the national transport system. While lauding the efficient service delivery of FAAN at the nation’s airports, the Institute observed areas that could be improved upon with the enhanced partnership between FAAN and the institute.
Olufemi Ogunode, director of Maintenance and Engineering of FAAN, who received the members of the institute on behalf of Saleh Dunoma, MD/CEO, thanked the leadership of the institute for its commitment to aviation development in Nigeria. He also expressed FAAN’s willingness to cooperate with the institute with a view to improving service delivery in the Aviation sector.
